Smooch Technique

As you all know I've begun to teach Scrapbooking and Card Making classes at Michael's. In February, we are going to have fun and creative classes. I've begun to use the Smooch product. I just love to tell everyone that I get paid to Smooch! Here's a card I made using the Smooch product and CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

Don't know what Smooch is? It's an ink spray that also adds glitter to paper, wood, fabric, and chipboard. It's really cool and yes, messy! But we don't mind that, right? After all we ink, distress, paint, and emboss our projects.

To create this card:
  1. Cut tags at 2 inches on white card stock using the Art Philosophy
  2. Spray orange and purple Smooch on tag
  3. Cut flower at 2 inches with the Art Philosophy cartridge using white cardstock
  4. Sprayed purple Smooch heavily one one side and lightly on the side
  5. Used Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page punch to create the lace paper design
  6. Used solid purple card stock to create a strip at the top and the bottom edges
  7. Orange fringed ribbon to add the extra touch.
  8. Use CTMH stamp to create a personalized message on tag and inside of the card
Does this card design look familiar? It should! A very similar design is on the cover of the CTMH Original's card making book. Just a reminder we can modify templates for any season or occasion.
